Any ideas for upping participation?

We have a few bucks in the bank. I was thinking of getting some type of cool stickers or the like made up for sale or as swag for people renewing their memberships.

Anybody have any comments or good ideas?

I am currently in Utah. I have been thinking of trying to get people here interested again with some sponsored M&G's with some swag.

Is anybody thinking of heading to Moab for Fall Fling? I hate to ask, but do we need to do some incentives?

I still have some swag from National originally intended for ColoradoFest.

We have a set of Napier hood vents, as well as several certs from a few vendors. Any idea how to get rid of them. Most expire at the first of the year.

Me, Dutch and my son are heading to Moab for Veteran's day weekend if anybody wants to join. Don't know if you want to consider that fall fling or not.

If I can tear away from work, I may try and make it down. Any idea on your itinerary?

Sandy Steve, the former Intermountain BOD guy was wanting to go.

Moab Rim Friday afternoon

Top of The World Saturday

Hells Revenge Sunday

Maybe another easy trail Sunday afternoon if Hells goes good.

He replied under the thread I created also.

Tom,

I think the problem you're going to run into, is that it's just going to amount to patching holes in a sinking ship.

National did it's best to kill participation, and IMHO it's a little past salvation.

To me, it would make sense for whatever money is in the bank, to be used towards an "event" where the funds can cover food or other activities.

Many I know who were active members, much like myself don't red letter up anymore. The red letter funds have done little to benefit our Chapter (other than National raffle items) in the last decade.

I think more people would be inclined to take that money, and use it towards things that directly benefit the chapter.

I think something where we could get as many people together as possible would be best, which likely might be sometime during Spring/Summer, and I'd venture in the "Denver" area.

It would be ideal if someone had property and we could use the money towards food and drink, and not try to cover/partially cover overpriced food at some establishment.

But, even when we've done the establishment thing, only a handful show.

Food is always good!

Sometimes I have to wonder about using crowd size as the preferred metric. Other groups who charge much more for membership actually have more frequent get togethers.

If all goes well with my knee replacements and I am back in Colorado as planned, I am willing to BBQ either at my place or at some place.

We have funds to cover about anything we want. We could do some swag as well. The key is to do some promotion.
