ok guys i tore apart the front of sally to install some coil spacers. and everything that could go wrong.....went wrong! one of my upper control arm bushings majically worked its way out, i dont have a ball joint press to put the new ones back in with, and i cannot afford to rent one from autozone. also even before that happened i could not get my LCA bolts to line back up. im definately a newb when it comes to this front suspension and i need help. can any of yu guys come lend a hand? this is my daily and its sitting on jackstnds and i can only use the misses truck for a few more days.

Question #1: What kind of control arms? Sorry I don't remember if they were stock or aftermarket.
On the LCA bolts, I put a big pipe wrench on the axle tube, and a floor jack under the wrench to rotate the axle and line the holes up.
I'm not sure when I can get over there again.

ok, hypoid gave ome good advice. just one thing lef to figure out. i bought new upper control arm bushing and im guna press em in redneck style. but what about gettin the old ones out? i dont own a socket close enough to the size to hammr it out, and i dont have air or an air hammer. any other suggestions?
Last I knew, Rusty's uses stock rubber bushings. No real trick, pretty much like what was said already, use a drill and perforate the rubber until you can rip the rubber out, then use a hammer/punch or chisel and start tearing into the sleeve. I've used a sawzall to cut the sleeve with decent success - the cut will relieve the diameter of the sleeve and allow it to compress and become loose.

Throw the CA into the bbq pit and burn out the bushing.
Use a torch and burn out the bushing, then cut the sleeve
Drill out the bushing and use a sawzall to cut a notch into the sleeve.
get a sledge hammer and cut a hole in a 2x4 the size of the bushing. Strap the arm to teh 2x4 with the bushing over the hole and hammer away.
Air chisel is still my favorite.

alright well i got it. and BTW it was the upper control arm, where it presses into the top of the diff. i hammered out the rubber and then taco'd the sleeve with a flathead and a BFH. took 2 hours but it came out. then i built a ball joint press out of some scrap metal, but i dont hve any hardened bolts, and the one i tryed to use stripped out, will have to wait till tomorrow
maybe cause its my first time messin with jeep supension. so i just dove in head first.
