I am working on getting better cooling at low rpms. I have seen posts about using a GC fan clutch upgrade but some peeps say there is a clearance issue with the Renix. Anybody have some personal knowledge about this? or a different/better fan clutch.
I am running a 4.7L stroker so it generates quite a bit of heat, especially at low rpms.
I am running a second stock electric fan. I am also thinking about changing to the 97+ electric fan for the second AUX fan. I am told that the fan with the 97+ moves more air. With the 97+, there are two designs of fan blades that I have found. One is big and wide, and the other appears more skinny but shaped more like a scimitar. Anybody have real info on the difference in CFMs?
I am running a 3 row radiator and a transmission cooler as well. I pull an offroad teardrop and at 9,000+ feet and 10% or greater grades, it just doesn't stay as cool as I would like.
