Looking to try or buy a 2000 XJ 4x4 w/auto PCM. Let me know if you have one or know where I could get a good used one.

Background:

I just finished rebuilding the motor and I scanned it on Saturday. Only code pulled was P0201 Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Open. I tested resistance across all injectors (13.4 ohms) which is within spec. I then swapped injectors, cleared codes and retested just to ensure it was not the injector. Same code pulled.

I then pulled the working #2 connector and plugged it into the #1 injector. #1 injector began firing. I tried #1 connector on #2 injector and nothing. Confirmed it's something upstream from the connector and nothing mechanical in the motor.

The #1 connector has good voltage (13.2 Volts). I then checked the ground wire resistance beween the connector and the PCM pin out (0 ohms), so the wire is good. The fact that the connector had frayed wires at the connection point that I had to cover with heatshrink, I believe the exposed wires made contact and blew the #1 injector driver in the PCM.

That would be great. I would need a 56041635AD which I understand is the low emissions pcm for California.

I have a drb3 out here in Torrance, we can plug into to and manually pulse the injector, if I dig around I think I also have a noid light as well.

I received pcm from Jay siik xj today. I will plug that in and sacrifice a Stone Russian Imperial Stout to the Jeep gods. If that does not work then I may hit you up sidewaysstarion.

I seem to recall you having to flash a late model PCM to your VIN?

From what I could find online the late model ones must have matching part numbers. If not then must be flashed to match Jeep configuration. Jays siik xj had pcm from a similarly configured 2000 xj.

I didn't find anything about flashing to match the VIN #.

You only need to worry about the VIN if your jeep has a SKIM module, if it does, then we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Quick check online says SKIM keys are grey, non-SKIM are black. I have thin black keys.
